Background
A Very British Civil War took place in February 2016, with most of the action focused on Lancashire, Cheshire, West and South Yorkshire. The setting is a popular wargaming alternate history setting, in which Britain is riven by strife in 1938, following the refusal of Edward VIII to abdicate and simmering social resentment. This sequel featured a revised cast list and new objectives, following the success of the British Union of Fascists in large parts of the north, whilst internal power struggles saw the socialists split.
The Factions
Royalists - supporters of Edward VIII, monarch by the grace of God, right or wrong.
British Union of Fascists - flying columns across the regions, supporting an effective network of political operators.
Anglican League - representing the Church militant, they will be suffering from some division as some now support Albert, the king's brother.
People's Republic of South Yorkshire - the main communist group
Socialists - currently scattered pockets across the region, desperate for aid from elsewhere.
Welsh Home Rule Alliance - a minor faction, but very influential in the last game
