Trope High - Game Day Information

Timings

The game is taking place on Saturday 18 May 2019.

Game registration opens at 9:30am. Please do not arrive before then as we may not be able to let you into the venue as we will still be setting up.

The game starts promptly at 10am. The game then runs through for the entire day. There are no breaks for lunch or any other reason, however there will be periods of lower activity within each turn for eating, loo breaks, etc.

The game itself will end at roughly 5pm, after which there will be a short debrief. Following this we will head to the pub for a longer debrief.

Venue

The game takes place at Gateway Church, St Mark's Rd, Leeds LS2 9AF. Click here to view the church on Google Maps.

If you are coming by PUBLIC TRANSPORT, the venue is a short bus ride from the train station.

If you are coming by CAR, there are a very limited number of free parking spaces on site. Paid parking can be found on most of the nearby streets - just download the app and pay on there, it's £3.00 for the whole day. There is also limited free parking on Shay Street, just a short walk away.​

After the game

After the game has finished and we've cleared up, we will be heading to The Library pub on Woodhouse Lane for socialising, aka "the real debrief". Everyone is welcome to join us.

You'll be able to purchase food and drink there.

What to bring

Bring lunch and any other snacks that you would like. Tea and coffee are available for free.

You might want to bring paper/pens for taking notes.

Your personal briefing will be printed out for you on the day, as well as a limited number of each handbook. In the interests of the environment, there's no need for players to print any game materials as sufficient quantities should be available on the day.

Costumes

There is no requirement to dress up, and you'll find lots of people in jeans, lots of people in full-on costumes, and lots somewhere in between.

Feel free to turn up in the outfit of your choice - after all, in American High School Dramas, they seem to wear whatever they want!

The school colours are orange and black, if you want to incorporate them into your outfit.

Finally, please remember that your in-game secret is just that - a secret - so turning up in a big cape if you're cast as Dracula may not be the best plan....

If you are running late or can no longer come, please let me know as soon as possible. This game runs best at full capacity and we try to fill last minute vacancies as much as possible.

If you discover that you are running late or are unable to come on the day of the game, please TEXT me on 07590 036990 with your full name and when you expect to arrive (I'll be very busy getting everything sorted so may not be able to pick up the phone).
