Overview
In the Real Heroes you take the role of a person with super human powers to use for either good or not so good. This is carried out on a set of maps of three large photogenic US cities - Los Angeles, New York and San Francisco. It works like a big co-operative boardgame, with hidden "traitors". Players apply their abilities to fighting or causing crime by playing power cards. In the gaps between crime fighting players will pursue personal agendas and collect clues to piece together especially strange goings on. As well as tensions between criminals and vigilantes there are tensions between the authorities and vigilantes and within the ranks of the vigilantes as it is not clear they do more good than harm. Some feel they are above the law and should be arbitrating it, others seem more interested in what they can get out of it all than doing good. Businesses and government bodies vie for control of the AP population. Structure - Players 30 ish "Vigilantes" in 4 loose affiliations 3 Mayors who also represent pretty much all the regular folk including the press 2 Government Scientists Some Billionaires Structure - The World Three cities spread over 9 maps New York Los Angeles & San Francisco "The rest of the world" The game has been run 2-3 times before and refined especially by dropping the parts that absolutely did not work when it was called Who Will Watch Them? Unlike most megagames you can suggest the character you want to play and we will develop this with you. This is especially the case for certain people of questionable morals with long term goals that represent the main antagonists.
